A friend posted a link to this on her blog, and this is the one that stuck out to me today. I have had so many friends who think what they wear says everything about who they are, but it certainly does not, and I wish they knew the impression they give off by thinking it does.
#217 Having good taste and being a good person are not the same thing.
It's one thing to care about your appearance, I certainly do. It is another thing entirely to base your entire existence and happiness on what outfits you wear and how much money you have to spend on said clothing. Everyone likes to have nice things, not everyone thinks that it is THE most important thing in the world. It is exhausting to be around. Furthermore if you are so busy judging people based on the labels they wear, apparel or otherwise, do you ever really have the chance to get close to anyone?
